The construction of the Bergen Academy of Art and Design (KHiB) is one of Statsbygg's most widely referenced Lean construction projects, and one of the examples we ourselves point to when explaining how takt planning and systematic commissioning fit together in practice. A compendium documents the experiences from the project, from Lean strategy and design through to takt-based construction and BIM.
The compendium was written by four people who were central to the project, including Per Roger Johansen, today a co-founder and advisor at TaskCtrl.
The authors
What the compendium covers
The compilation walks through the entire process on the KHiB project, from strategy to finished building:
- Lean strategy and implementation
- Lean design and takt planning
- Systematic commissioning in practice
- Lean construction and takt areas
- Board meetings and on-site collaboration
- BIM on the project
For us at TaskCtrl, this is more than a historical reference. Much of the thinking around systematic commissioning that Per Roger has carried forward into TaskCtrl has its roots in the experiences from the KHiB project.
